Kia just gave luxury market consumers another reason to buy its top-shelf K900 sedan – a high-end infotainment and telematics system.

The South Korean automaker recently announced that it will be including its UVO Luxury Services system in the K 900 sedan. The UVO Luxury Services system will only be featured in the K 900 for the immediate future and provides several features not included in the standard UVO infotainment and telematics system. K 900s equipped with the new system will soon show up at Mandan auto dealers and Kia dealerships across the country.

What It Does

The new UVO Luxury Services system offers a number of enhanced features, including improved roadside assistance, a top-of-the-line diagnostics system, remote vehicle command, easy to use Google searching, a dealership appointment system, and more. The system also makes it easier for drivers to integrate their smartphones with their vehicles.

The system requires an app, which consumers can download free of charge from iTunes or GooglePlay by way of the Kia App store. Some of the remote features consumers can control via their smartphones include start and stop, lock and unlock, and remote programming of the vehicle’s air conditioning system.

A great thing about the UVO Luxury System is the ability it gives parents to set curfew and speed alerts, as well as geo-fencing for teens who may drive the vehicle. The UVO Luxury Services system connects to the Internet via Verizon, making it extremely reliable.

Kia has an excellent reputation for including effective, user-friendly technology in its vehicles, and UVO Luxury Services appears to be no exception.  Consumers will find that the UVO infotainment and telematics system adds a previously unrealized dimension of comfort and convenience to their car driving experience.

The K900: a Step Up for Kia

Kia launched the K900 in the U.S. in 2013. The vehicle is aimed at the luxury market, including many high-end features such as top-shelf interiors, a powerful V8 engine, and lots of features and amenities. The K900 represents Kia’s aspirations to join the top tier of automakers, as the company has greatly improved its product quality and reputation in recent years.

The K900 has garnered many positive reviews since its launch. Automotive journalists say the K900 has many features reminiscent of classy American models like Buick and Lincoln, praising the vehicle’s quiet, smooth ride and plush interior.

The Kia is comparable to BMW’s 7 Series of sedans, and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but costs thousands of dollars less. For consumers who want both luxury and value, the Kia K900 is a great buy. The Kia K900 starts at around $49,000.
